Behind the guide

# About us

Who is behind Cozumel Island, our relationship with Cozumel Divers, and what you can expect from this guide.

## A guide to choosing well.

Cozumel Island brings together practical information about beaches, reefs, food, and island routes for cruise visitors, ferry day-trippers, and longer stays. The aim is to help you choose a plan that fits your time and what you need.

## Our editorial identity

Cozumel Island is an editorial guide to discovering and exploring the island. We combine contributions of local knowledge with source-based research to provide practical, useful information. We publish under the editorial identity of Cozumel Island. Each guide indicates its sources, update date and any relevant limitations of the information.

## Our relationship with Cozumel Divers

This website is associated with [Cozumel Divers](<https://cozumeldivers.com/>), a diving business in Cozumel. That is a relevant commercial relationship, and we disclose it openly. We do not present this guide as a publication without ties to tourism operators.

Inclusion in a guide is not a ranking, a safety certification, or a guarantee. This edition does not take bookings or process payments.

## What you can expect

Practical context, linked sources, and dates for source-based reviews. We do not claim visits, meals, dives, or firsthand experiences we cannot document. Photography has its own authors and dates and does not necessarily show current conditions.

Services and conditions change. Confirm opening times, prices, accessibility, meeting points, and rules with the provider before booking or traveling.

## Help correct the guide

If you find something that needs review, contact Cozumel Divers through its website. Include the page address, the specific detail, and a current source if available. Our [editorial policy](<https://cozumelisland.info/en/editorial-policy/>) explains how we handle information.
